Pula Film Festival 2015

The Pula Film Festival took place from 18 to 26 July 2015 in the ancient roman city of Pula. The documentary film Streetkids United II - The Girls From Rio was selected for the Dizalica program (youth program) and the Street Child World Cup Photo Exhibit, shown at Galerija Makina, was also part of the official festival program. Streetkids United II - The Girls From Rio was also selected for the HT VOD platform MaxTV in Croatia and both the film and the exhibit received a fair share of publicity.
STREETKIDS UNITED II - THE GIRLS FROM RIO
The screening of Streetkids United II - The Girls From Rio at the Pula Film Festival was the international premiere of the film. The director of the film, Maria Clara Costa, and 2 girls from Rio, Dryka and Jessica, as well as 3 producers were present at the premiere. Maria Clara, Dryka and Jessica did a brief introduction of the film before the premiere and a Q&A afterwards. The film was very well received by the audience (some 200 spectators) who was impressed by the positive attitude of the girls from Rio making the best out of their lives despite the harsh living conditions.
STREET CHILD WORLD CUP PHOTO EXHIBIT
The Street Child World Cup Photo Exhibit was staged at Galerija Makina in the city center of Pula. The exhibit was officially opened by the director of the Pula Film Festival Mrs. Gordana Restović. Curator Jamillah van der Hulst and 2 producers of the film Streetkids United II - The Girls From Rio were also present. The opening draw a lot of attention from press, guests and visitors and the exhibit was well received.
VOD PLATFORM & MORE
Streetkids United II - The Girls From Rio, together with 2 other films from the Pula Film Festival, also had the privilege to be selected for the HT VOD platform MaxTV in Croatia. The promotion of the platform before each screening of a film at the Pula Film Festival included also images from Streetkids United II - The Girls From Rio.
The Pula Film Festival promoted the film and the photo exhibit in all their channels of communication such as the festival guide, displays, outdoor LED screen, website and social media. Also the press reported on both the film and the photo exhibit.
