PAUL

documentary, sport
2015

Paul is a documentary film about a 13 year old boy from the Dunoon township in Cape Town, South Africa, named Paul.

Paul has a dream, a dream he thinks about all day; he wants to be surfer. But boys from Dunoon township don’t surf. There is no transportation to the beach and there is no money for equipment. Fortunately, there is a non-profit organization that picks up Paul to go surfing at the white beaches of Blouberg. Surf legend and sports icon Robby Naish is the voice over of the documentary. Naish, a strong believer in the power and importance of sport for the development of children and their communities, was immediately touched by this story.
